Cut Line
Friday, 11 September 2026A torch works the foot of a shipbreaking ramp: each hull section lights one chalked arrow, and your swipe must match it before the steel arrives.
Objective
Hull sections slide down a breaking ramp toward your cutting torch. Every section is chalked with one arrow, but the chalk only reads once the section crosses into the floodlight at the foot of the ramp. Swipe the way the arrow points and the torch cuts the steel. A section that reaches the torch uncut spends one of your three gas bottles.
Controls
Swipe up, down, left or right anywhere, or use the arrow keys or WASD. A swipe that does not match the arrow never costs a bottle — it snuffs the torch for 0.35 s, which is a fifth of the lit stretch at the start and four fifths of it by the end.
Scoring
Ten points a cut and one a second. Thick sections carry two arrows: the first cut drops their under-slab and kicks them 2.6 units back up the ramp, revealing the next.
The ramp
Feed speed climbs from 4.0 to 7.5 units a second while the lit stretch shrinks from 6.5 units to 3.2, closing the read window from 1.63 s to 0.43 s by 42 s.
