Lotus Leap
Friday, 4 September 2026A gold lantern circles the lotus pads of a night pond; let go at the right moment to reach the next one before the tide arrives.
Objective
A gold lantern circles a lotus pad on a black pond at night. An indigo tide climbs the screen behind you. Reach as many lotuses as you can before it arrives.
How to play
Tap anywhere (Space, Enter or a click on a desktop) to let go of the lotus you are circling. The lantern flies straight along the tangent, slowing as it goes, so time the release for the moment it points at the lotus you want. Pass inside the pink ring and the next lotus catches you.
Scoring
Each new lotus is worth 10. Pass within 0.7 units of the flower and it is 15 instead, and the flash reads PERFECT. Lotuses you have already visited score nothing.
Staying alive
The banks are bamboo: a stray leap bounces off them rather than ending the run. A leap that reaches nothing drifts to a halt and the lantern goes out. The tide starts at 1.2 units per second and reaches 3.4 after about 45 seconds, roughly the pace of a player who waits half an orbit before each leap, so late hesitation ends the run.
